Free Spirit
No man owns me;
I am a free spirit, O' Lord,
Humbly I implore thee!
He tells me, I am the one for him
Don't go looking for someone else
They tell me, I am one of them
Don't go bonding with the rest of world
But I don't follow
And I don't fit
In every single thing
I find your bit
I love the many;
As I love the few;
I love them all;
Just as I love you!

My Shopping Cart
I promised myself to behave
I won’t make any bad buy
No matter how much I crave
I will stick to my shopping list
And pick whatever I need
For safe not sorry is the way
And there is no end to greed
I picked the apples, juicy and red
I picked my usual medium bread
My carton of milk, I picked without fail
And found my favorite cookies on sale
My cart was soon filled to the top
And it was time to go
I kept my sight fixed on the cart
For I feared it might rove
But it sneaked past my untrained mind;
and settled on this juice
White grapefruit seemed fresh and healthy
What had I got to loose?
I checked the price;
It was a little high
But this was good;
And surely worth a try
I paid my bill and rushed back home;
dying to taste the drink
I was sure it was a great buy;
and verve and vitality it would bring
The moment I had the first sip;
of one thing I was sure
This definitely wasn’t my taste;
but now there was no cure!
Yet another bad buy
And my head hung down in shame
That’s when I heard this mighty voice;
“No worries, It’s all a part of the game
The one who takes the greatest risk,
Stands to gain the most
A few bad buys followed by one best
Puts rest to all the ghosts
So keep filling your shopping cart;
With what you think you want
For if you let even a thing slip by;
It will be back to haunt
There is no such thing as a bad buy
And everything has some use
Experience always comes at a price
So not a dime did you loose!"

A Little Bit of Magic
The street is surprisingly dark tonight
And I would like to see the moon shining bright
Instead I see the golden sun
And I tell myself, "What fun!”
I asked the lamp post standing tall;
“Where do those shiny rays go fall?
For my street is gloomy and dark
So those rays must not travel far!”
It said without wasting a sigh;
“Little missy, open your eyes.
There’s plenty of light all around
And when it’s dark, I am up and about.
A little bit of light the Lord reserved for you,
A little bit of magic, is in queue for you.
When the time is right it will come to you,
For there’s only so much the good Lord can do.
When you were down and blue
And suddenly a warm hug enveloped you?
It took you to your favorite dream
And salved your woes with a magical cream.
Do you remember the time;
When you lost your way
And your sure steps had begun to sway?
But just when you thought you will break your bones;
You landed on wet mud, which broke your fall.
How often has magic come to thee!?
But you always were too blinded to see.
So open your eyes; little missy; and see
Your street is full of light and glee.
Your world is full of magic
And a fine wizard you can be
If only you will open your eyes and see!”
